Delhi airport update today: IndiGo, Vistara flights delayed as visibility drops to zero
Delhi, the national capital of India, started today with a season’s lowest temperature so far. At 6.10 am, the minimum temperature dropped to 2.4 degree Celsius, said India Meteorological Department (IMD). With the bone-chilling cold, a layer of dense enveloped Delhi today morning and disrupted rail, road and air traffic. Several flights flying in and out of the Delhi international airport have either been delayed or diverted to other nearby airports. The visibility reduced to zero near the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, said the weather department.
Delhi Airport Authority informed that low visibility procedure are implemented at the airport. Passengers are advised to contact the airlines for the updated information, Delhi Airport Authority said.
