Delhi Airport traffic disrupted: IndiGo aircraft incident leads to runway closure, here’s what happened
According to a source, an IndiGo aircraft coming from Amritsar experienced a taxiway mishap upon landing at the Delhi airport on Sunday morning, reported PTI. This led to the temporary closure of one of the runways for approximately 15 minutes at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).
The A320 aircraft, operating as flight 6E 2221, inadvertently proceeded to the dead end of runway 28/10 after missing the designated taxiway. As a result of this incident, flight operations were impacted, and the runway remained inaccessible for the mentioned duration.
