Delhi airport flights to be affected for 10 hours this week

Due to the Republic Day parade rehearsals, the Delhi airspace is being closed for two hours on January 21-24, and January 26, 2020. Under this, the Delhi airport will turn into a no-fly zone between 10.35 am and 12.15 pm. Due to closure of airspace over Delhi on these days, flight operations of all airlines are likely to be impacted. Air passengers travelling on any of these days are advised to check with their respective airlines and plan accordingly. Also pasengers should try and reach much before time due to stringent security to avoid any inconvenience.

According to a notice to airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Sunday, “no landing and take off” would be “permitted” at Delhi International Airport between 10.35 am and 12.15 pm on January 18, 20-24 and 26, due to “Republic Day Celebrations”.
