Decision on further protests over naming of Navi Mumbai airport today

The Navi Mumbai International Airport Namakaran Action Committee, which was formed to demand that the upcoming Navi International Airport be named after the late socialist leader DB Patil, is yet again threatening to launch a protest. It will meet on Tuesday to decide an action plan.

The committee had earlier decided to withdraw its planned protest at the Navi Mumbai airport site, where it had threatened to stop work on the project starting August 16. The decision was taken after the committee members met Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation in Delhi.
