DDA working along with DMRC to bring metro connectivity

Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is working along with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to bring metro connectivity to the far-flung areas of North-West Delhi such as Narela, said a senior official.

“The phase-IV of the metro route for Rithala-Bawana-Narela has already been proposed by DMRC. A series of meetings were held by DDA with DMRC and other stakeholders to finalise the metro route alignment for Rithala-Bawana-Narela to serve the already constructed housing pockets in Narela project and also to serve the land pooling areas,” said a senior official. “DDA housing schemes of Narela were less preferred in comparison to other areas of capital, due to the absence of a public Mass Rapid Transportation System.
