CPPIB infuses $400 m more in ReNew Power

Goldman Sachs that partnered with Sumant Sinha to start a clean energy platform called ReNew Power in 2011 – with a ₹1,000 crore investment – and became its single largest shareholder, now ceases to be its dominant stockholder.

Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) has become the largest shareholder of the Nasdaq-listed company, after the Wall Street investment bank further pared its stake last month, said people in the know.
