COO Sanjiv Kapoor quits Vistara
New Delhi: Vistara’s chief commercial officer Sanjiv Kapoor has resigned from the airline, and he will be succeeded by Vinod Kannan. The airline, a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, said in a statement on Monday that Kapoor resigned from his position due to personal reasons and that he will be discharging his official duties till December 31.
“The airline’s chief strategy officer, Vinod Kannan, will take over as the chief commercial officer, subsequently,” a Vistara spokesperson said in the statement. Kapoor’s resignation is the second top-level exit in the domestic aviation sector in recent days, after Sanjay Kumar quit as AirAsia India’s chief commercial officer.
