Bengaluru: With deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar playing hardball over clearing of pending bills payable to contractors, the latter on Wednesday knocked on the doors of former CM and BJP strongman BS Yediyurappa to mount pressure on the government.
However, Shivakumar retorted: “Let them go wherever they want to go and speak to whomever they want to…We are watching everything. We will not buckle under pressure.” Shivakumar’s contention is that he has received complaints about contractors claiming bills for works which they did not execute between 2019 and 2023 and that all payments should be put on hold till a probe is completed.
