Congress protests suspension of trains
The Congress on Tuesday protested before the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) office here against the suspension of passenger trains passing through Chhattisgarh.
The protest was led by PCC chief Mohan Markam. A Congress delegation led by Markam handed over a memorandum addressed to the Railway Minister demanding restoration of the suspended trains.
A Congress spokesperson said the memorandum drew the attention of the Railway Minister to the difficulties the passengers were facing due to the cancellations.
Those who used the trains daily to commute to their offices were facing problems, the Congress said.
