Cong workers stage protest against fuel price hike

Following the rise in petrol, diesel and cooking gas prices, the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) activists staged a protest outside Union Petroleum Ministry here on Tuesday. Police said that no one was detained during protest. Srinivas BV, IYC president also posted a video of protest on his official Twitter handle. In video, the protesters are seen performing a mock funeral as they carry an LPG cylinder. The protesters also raised slogans against central government. “The protesters carried an empty cylinder in a symbolic way to bring attention towards rising fuel prices,” said Rahul Rao, the IYC’s National Media Incharge.
