Cong plans protest at 400 petrol pumps across Capital today

With diesel price being on a record high in Delhi and petrol on a two-year high, Delhi Congress has planned to hold protests at around 400 petrol pumps across the Capital on Monday to protest against the fuel hike.

Delhi Congress president Anil Kumar will lead the protest on Monday and demand immediate roll back of the price hike by both the Centre and Delhi Government. Congress workers will follow the social distancing norms while holding the protests, the party said in a statement.

Kumar said prices of petrol and diesel are being increased by the insensitive Modi Government for the last three weeks.

At the same time, the Kejriwal Government has also hiked ‘Vaur Added Tax’ (VAT) on petrol and diesel which is unfair.
