Complex renewable energy tenders stretching timelines, say experts

BENGALURU: The Solar Corporation of India (SECI), the nodal arm through which the New and Renewable Energy Ministry conducts solar and wind auctions, has been repeatedly issuing ‘corrigenda’ (amendments or corrections) to its tenders this year, leading to the auctions being postponed for months.

Industry insiders maintain it is because of the complex and experimental nature of the tenders.
