Coastal road to be named after Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj

The under-construction Mumbai Coastal Road will be named after Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and a statue of the 16th-century Maratha warrior will be constructed on the coastal highway, said Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday.

Meanwhile, in a tweet, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis shared a letter he had written to the chief minister on March 16, requesting to name Bandra-Versova Sealink after freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and the Mumbai Trans Harbor Link (MTHL) after former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
