Coal transport to K’taka NTPC stalled
Coal transportation has been disrupted in NLC Talabira since June 30. The transport company which was awarded the tender to transport 2.4 lakh MT to NTPC Bijapur, Karnataka, has not been allowed to lift a single truck loading from the mine.
It is alleged that due to ‘cut money’ system in the mine, the whole problem has cropped up. The transport company has lodged an FIR in Thelkoloi police station against two officials of another company on Sunday.
The authorised representative of Aakar Engineers and Contractors, Kesab Prada Sukl has lodged the FIR. He mentioned that the Aakar Engineers has to transport 2.40 lakh MT coal for NTPC Khudgi, Bijapur of Karnataka State from NLC Talabira. The transport company was awarded the job in (Rail and Road) R&R system.
