Coal India’s supplies dip 2.9% in July
Kolkata: Coal India’s production and despatches dipped 5.1% and 2.9% respectively in July 2019 against last year’s corresponding month.
Production and despatches dipped at four of its subsidiaries. At Bharat Coking Coal production and despatches fell 28% each, while at South Eastern Coalfields it dipped 12% and 9% respectively. Mahanadi Coalfields witnessed a 14% fall in production and a 7% fall in supplies. At North Eastern Coalfields production fell 82% while supplies declined 47% against the previous corresponding period.
