Coal India output grows 6.3% during Oct-Dec 2020

Coal India Ltd’s (CIL NSE 4.76 %) output grew 6.3% to 156.8 million tonnes (MT) coal during October-December 2020 compared to 147.5 MT it produced for the same quarter last year. Production increase in volume terms was 9.3 MTs during the period.

The quarter-on-quarter output increase was a 41.8 MT, a growth of 36.4%. CIL produced 115 MTs during Q2 of the current fiscal, an official said.
