Coal import orders: Power companies get time till Friday to place order
New Delhi: Power producers have time till Friday to place orders for coal imports, failing which they will be allocated only 70% of requirement by the government, according to an official notification.
On May 18, the companies were told if orders for coal imports are not placed by May 31 and imports don’t start arriving by June 15, they will have to increase imports to the extent of 15%.
