Kolkata: ED has summoned state law minister Moloy Ghatak to the agency headquarters in Delhi on March 29 in connection with alleged coal pilferage from Eastern Coalfields Ltd mines in Asansol.
This is the second summons issued in the case to the minister, who had skipped questioning on September 14 last year.
Trinamool general secretary Kunal Ghosh on Thursday questioned the timing of the summons. He pointed out it was the same day that CM Mamata Banerjee would go on a dharna against the BJP-led Centre over “neglect” of Bengal and TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee would be addressing a public rally in Kolkata.
