CM Siddaramaiah asks industries to file review plea with KERC over power tariff
BENGALURU: Blaming the previous BJP government for allowing the arrears payable to various electricity supply companies (Escoms) to touch Rs 11,000 crore, chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday advised industry and trade organisations to approach the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) for revision of the recently hiked power tariff.
Holding a meeting with industry organisations protesting the steep hike in power charges, Siddaramaiah advised the entrepreneurs to file a review petition with KERC and promised to look into the industry’s demands. He also directed the delegation to hold another meeting with energy department officials and submit a report.
