CM: Block HQs to be linked with double-lane roads

In yet another major announcement, chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that in order to develop better roads and control road accidents at the development block level, all the block headquarters in every district will be linked with double lane roads. He said that as the majority of the roads leading to block headquarters are narrow, the roads leading to block headquarters with less population will be widened to one and a half lane while roads leading to block headquarters with more population will have double lane roads. Double lane roads will enable more convenient and safer transport in these areas.
