Forty-year-old Srikant Kar of Jajpur district, a technician of the Oil Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) in Mumbai, has recently escaped from jaws of death by swimming around 16 hours in the cyclone Tauktae- hit turbulent Arabian sea before he was rescued by the Indian Navy.
Srikant Kar of Sankarpur village under Bari block fought against all odds in the turbulent sea to save his life. “I will never forget the May 17 afternoon as I jumped along with other employees of the ONGC from the ship after the ship sank in the cyclone.
