Climate activists writes ‘cease and desist’ letter asking oil & gas companies for no more new projects, as WEF start at Davos
BATHINDA: As the world leaders, business honchos, investors are meeting at World Economic Forum at Davos for five days from Monday, the climate activists across countries taking on the oil and gas companies for continuing to burn fossil fuels.
The climate activists Greta Thunberg from Sweden, Luisa Neubauer from Germany, Vanessa Nakate from Uganda and Helena Gualinga from Ecuador have writen ‘cease and desist’ to CEOs of Oil and Gas companies demanding to stop any new oil and gas projects.
The nearly 7.5 lakh have already signed at a signature campaign to mobilise maximum people for the cause stating it feels extremely difficult to keep hope alive in the face of climate devastation around the world but the hope lies in people – in the millions who are determined to come together and demand corporate and political leaders to take action.
