‘Civil aviation ministry will cooperate with Puducherry govt in airport expansion’

PUDUCHERRY: The Union civil aviation ministry will extend all necessary assistance and cooperation to the Puducherry government in the expansion of Puducherry airport, said secretary (civil aviation) Rajiv Bansal.
Addressing the gathering after hoisting the national flag during the 75th Independence Day celebrations at Puducherry airport in the presence of airport director Vijay Upadhyay and officials of Airports Authority of India, Indian reserve battalion and SpiceJet on Monday, Bansal said the Puducherry government had already submitted a memorandum on airport expansion to the Union government.
