CIL engages Accenture for mine digitisation; targets 100 MTs more by FY23
Coal India Limited NSE -0.44 % (CIL NSE 0.63 %) on Monday said it has engaged Accenture Solutions Private Ltd as consultant, for digitalisation of mine process in seven opencast mines of the company targeting 100 million tonnes increased coal output by March 2023.
The aim is to fit together and use the available data analytic techniques to raise mine productivity and efficiency from planning, project monitoring, operations till despatch, through effective system management and dynamic monitoring, a senior company official said. Among many measures, the heavy mining equipment deployed in these mines would be fitted with digital sensors to monitor the efficiency of their performance at every level, he said.
