Chennai Metro rail to give discounts on parking charges to encourage footfalls

CHENNAI: Passengers parking their vehicles in Chennai Metro station’s parking lot and travel in metro trains using smartcards on June 7, Wednesday can avail discounts on parking charges for one day. A release said the discounted charges for vehicle parking was to encourage more passengers to use metro train services.

“The offer also enables discounts in monthly parking passes based on the travel history and number of rides taken by passengers in the last 30 days,” the release said.
