Chennai Metro Rail revises train timings due to night curfew and Sunday lockdown

CHENNAI: Metro trains in Chennai will be operated from 5.30am to 9pm, instead of 11pm, starting Thursday as part of the new restrictions, including night curfew, to contain Covid-19. Train services will be suspended on January 9 (Sunday) due to the complete lockdown.
In a release, CMRL said the 5.30am to 9pm service hours will be from Monday to Saturday. But this will not affect the peak hour timings which will continue to be the same with trains available every five minutes during peak hours and every 10 minutes during non-peak hours.
