C’garh sees rapid road construction in two years: CM

Roads are the basis of a strong infrastructure and a solid foundation for a state’s development. In the past two years, roads have been built at a rapid pace in Chhattisgarh, making the lives of people smooth and barrier free.

The progress in construction of roads has further strengthened road connectivity and also eased in the facilitation of traffic to the villages, an official statement said on Friday.

A total of 4,050 projects of road and bridge construction as well as repair and restoration work have been approved with a budget provision of Rs 13,230 crores.

Additionally, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the Mukhyamantri Sugam Sadak Scheme on June 19 to connect all inaccessible government buildings, Haat Bazaars, fair sites, school and colleges, Anganwadis, hospitals and crop storage centres via pucca road to the nearest main road.
