Centre raises windfall profit tax on diesel, ATF export; hikes tax on domestic crude oil
The government on Saturday hiked windfall profit tax on export of diesel to Rs 12 per litre and airline turbine fuel(ATF) from nil to Rs 3.50 per litre.
The government also hiked the levy on domestically produced crude oil too by Rs 3,000 per tonne to Rs 11,000 in line with the hardening global prices.
