CBI refuses to let five IDBI ex-officials off the hook, says Vijay Mallya’s extradition awaited

Five former IDBI Bank executives charge-sheeted by CBI on charges of corruption in the loan default case against fugitive economic offender Vijay Mallya have moved a special CBI Court in Mumbai, seeking discharge of the case for lack of evidence.

Opposing their discharge pleas, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said they are “premature” as the “case continues to be at the stage of investigation”.
