CBI arrests man for posing as NHAI chairman and duping one person of Rs 80L
NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a man for allegedly impersonating the chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and cheating a person to the tune of Rs 80 lakh, officials said on Friday. Accused Manoj Kumar Jha, a resident of Madhubani in Bihar, was arrested from Gurgaon in the National Capital Region, they added.
The central probe agency recovered various incriminating documents and around 200 SIM cards during searches at eight premises in Delhi, Kolkata, Madhubani and Bokaro Steel City following the arrest, the officials further said.
