Cashless medical facility for power companies’ staff: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has pledged to implement a cashless medical facility for officers and employees of Chhattisgarh power companies. He also vowed to give 3 percent technical allowance to the engineer cadre.

He was addressing the State Level Power Engineers Conclave 2023 in Raipur on Saturday evening.

He said Chhattisgarh is a zero power cut state. The people have got relief from the electricity bill half scheme. The government has given a rebate of Rs 3,236 crore to 42 lakh consumers, an official communication quoted him as saying.

In 2018, the peak hour electricity consumption was 4,100 MW which in 2023 has reached 5,100 MW. Despite the rise in demand there is an uninterrupted power supply, he said.
