Capital’s peak power demand falls further, slips to 6,587 MW
The national Capital on Tuesday witnessed the peak power demand of 6,587 MW, which was slightly less than the demand on Monday.
According to the sources in discoms, Delhi’s peak power demand on Tuesday clocked 6,587 MW at 3:32 in the afternoon.
“Delhi’s peak power demand in May had never crossed the 6,000 MW-mark in 2021 and 2020. In 2019, it had crossed the 6,000 MW-mark only on three occasions i.e. May 29 (6,020 MW), May 30 (6,240 MW) and May 31 (6,461 MW),” a senior official said.
“In May so far, the peak power demand has been higher on 100 per cent of the corresponding days of May of 2021, 2020 and 2019,” he said.
