Cairn CEO Simon Thomson to meet finance secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey today
New Delhi: Cairn Energy Plc CEO Simon Thomson will meet finance secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey on Thursday, a day after the British oil firm moved a US district court seeking to enforce a $1.2 billion arbitration award won in a tax dispute against India.
Thomson had sought a meeting with finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman during his visit to New Delhi, he said in a video message last week. Sitharaman authorised the finance secretary to meet him and hear out the company.
