Cabinet lowers Railway land licensing fee

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday lowered the railway land license fee (LLF) to 1.5% per annum of the land market value and allowed for increasing the lease period to 35 years.

Responding to a query from ET, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur said that this has been done in the direction of monetising railway land.
