Cabinet clears pact between India, US for exchange of information in electricity sector

NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a pact between India and the US for exchange of information in areas of mutual interest in the electricity sector.

“Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its approval for the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (CERC) proposal for entering into an MoU (with) the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, United States of America, for exchange of information and experiences in areas of mutual interest,” according to an official statement.
