BSES to help in installing 446 charging stations in 3 months in Delhi

NEW DELHI: The reach of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations will be expanded in the city with the BSES discoms felicitating installation of 446 charging points at 193 locations in the next three months.

A senior official said the charging points would be set up at locations like Nehru Place, Nizamuddin, Sarita Vihar, Saket, Vasant Kunj, Punjabi Bagh, Dwarka, Mayur Vihar phases I and II, Karkardooma, Shahdara, Karol Bagh and IP Extension. BSES will facilitate installation of 2,000 charging points at 700 locations across south, west, east and central Delhi, said another official.

Delhi has nearly 2,300 public charging points and 250 swapping stations, including many at public places like malls, theatres, offices and residents welfare association (RWA) areas.
