BS-III petrol, BS-IV diesel cars off Delhi roads till December 9
NEW DELHI: The state government on Monday banned BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers from plying in the city till December 9. Violation will invite a fine of Rs 20,000, the pollution control division of the transport department said in an order.
The order came a day after the Centre’s panel on air quality, the Commission for Air Quality Management, imposed a ban on construction and demolition activities in NCR under stage III restrictions of Graded Response Action Plan after AQI deteriorated to 407 in the ‘severe’ category. Stage III GRAP curbs are enforced when AQI is between 401 and 450.
