Broken roads all around, Oppn tells Mayor Raj Bala
A day after Mayor Raj Bala Malik said she had not seen broken roads in the city, leaders of the Opposition and residents slammed her statement. City Congress president Pradeep Chhabra even released a number of pictures highlighting the bad condition of roads in different parts of the city.
He shared pictures of dilapidated roads in Sector 29, 32, Ram Darbar, Dhanas, Indira Colony, Sector 13 (Mani Majra) and others.
“Mayor madam, it’s sad to know that you do are not aware of the real situation. It’s really surprising to read your statement, which has appeared in a section of the media, in which you have been quoted as saying that roads are perfectly fine and there is not even a single broken road in the city,” said Devinder Singh Babla, councillor and Leader of the Opposition in the MC House.
