Bridge collapse: Morbi court rejects Oreva MD’s bail plea
A Morbi sessions court on Saturday rejected the regular bail plea of Oreva Group MD Jaysukh Patel who is facing charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, among other charges, in connection with the Morbi suspension bridge collapse that killed 135 people.
Meanwhile, on Satuday, Patel was taken to General Hospital in Morbi after complaints of high blood pressure.
“During a routine check up, the jail doctor detected that Patel’s blood pressure was high and suggested that he be taken to hospital for further check-up. Therefore, Patel was taken to hospital this afternoon. But after check-up, he was brought back to jail,” DM Gohel, jailer of Morbi district told The Indian Express.
