Boeing to invest $100 million on infra, training in India
NEW DELHI: World leaders are applauding the mega aircraft orders of Air India and IndiGo, with the two Indian carriers recently opting for almost 1,500 planes worth $120 billion from Boeing and Airbus. The White House issued a “fact sheet” on Thursday during PM Narendra Modi’s state visit to the US, which said AI’s order for over 200 Boeing aircraft “will support more than one million American jobs across 44 states and contribute to the modernisation of the civil aviation sector in India.”
On June 20 after IndiGo ordered 500 more Airbus planes in the largest single order in civil aviation history, British PM Rishi Sunak had Tweeted, “This contract is a major win for our aerospace sector.
