BMRCL postpones launch of open web girder

Bengaluru: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) said the launch of 65-metre Open Wed Girder (OWG) across a railway track at Benniganahalli has been postponed by a few days.

The launch was earlier scheduled on Friday. In a statement, BMRCL chief PRO BL Yashwanth Chavan said: “This is due to the installation of a large number of High Strength Friction Grip (HSFG) bolts and tightening them to design torque. Hence, the launch of the OWG has been postponed by a few days.”
