BJP protests against ‘inflated’ power bill

Delhi BJP on Friday started “Bijli Jan Andolan” at power offices of all 70 Assembly constituencies of Delhi against the “loot” in electricity bills due to Delhi Government and power companies collusion, party president Adesh Gupta said.

Following social distancing, party president, leader of opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and MP Meenakshi Lekhi, MLA Vijender Gupta, Ajay Mahawar staged demonstration at DERC headquarters in Malviya Nagar.

Gupta handed over the memorandum to the DERC Chairman regarding the problems due to huge electricity bills to the people of Delhi. In the same sequence, national vice-president and MP Dushyant Gautam at Krishna Nagar, former MP Manoj Tiwari at Dilshad Garden, MP Ramesh Bidhuri at Kalkaji, MP Gautam Gambhir at Laxmi Nagar power office participated in the demonstration.
