BJP asked to clarify stand on free power

Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Tuesday wrote a letter to the Union Minister and Delhi BJP’s incharge Prakash Javadekar asking him to clarify BJP’s stand on withdrawing the free electricity till 200 unit scheme.

The development came after the BJP MP allegedly said that if voted to power, his party will withdraw the electricity subsidy. “People of Delhi are confused after the statement from BJP that if they come to power the BJP will withdraw the scheme of giving 200 unit free electricity to the people. After the launch of the scheme, lakhs of residents of Delhi were benefited by this, he said adding that these people are looking for an answer from the BJP.
