Bizman electrocuted in Nayagarh
A young businessman was reportedly electrocuted to death at Mahipur in Nayagarh district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Padmalochan Sahu (25) of Khosakata village.
According to reports, Sahu had on Wednesday opened a plywood shop near the Ramchandi Temple in the area. While opening the shutter of the shop on Thursday morning, he accidentally came in contact with a live electrical wire and died on the spot.
Tension ran high as locals blocked the road at the Mahipur market demanding compensation to the family of Sahu alleging that the mishap took place due to a faulty electricity connection. Police recovered Sahu’s body and sent it to the District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem.
