Bhopal: Rani Kamlapati railway station not spared litter, spit on very first day

BHOPAL: Litter and spit were spotted at Rani Kamlapati railway station on the very first day after the inauguration of the world-class railway station.
Several passengers were found throwing the waste in the open on the platform despite having the facility of dustbins all over the platforms. Notably, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rs 100 crore worth redeveloped first phase of the station.
A TOI team visited the station on Tuesday. Even the team was shocked to see that passengers were not even hesitating while throwing the garbage like used cups and wrappers. When countered a passenger, Shiv Prasad, he reacted, “Where do I throw the used cup? I can’t carry it with me.”
When he was reminded that dustbins were available on the platform, he replied, “I do not want to do it. If you wish to do it, you can do it. Later, this correspondent himself put his cup in the dust-bin.”
