Bengaluru’s Yeshwantpur being developed as a world-class railway station: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

On Monday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that Yeshwantpur Railway Station in Bengaluru is being developed as a world-class station. There will be an investment of Rs 377 crore.

The railway station will have a roof plaza which would also have a children’s play area and space for selling products, he said while speaking to reporters after inspecting some civil work.

It is one of the most important railway stations in India, the minister said, and added that it caters to train traffic coming from Bengaluru (city station), Hassan, Tumakuru, Hubli-Dharwad, and also Delhi.
