Bengaluru Metro: Rs 1.2-crore deal cleared for detailed project report on link to Tumakuru

Bengaluru: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has awarded a tender for the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) on the extension of Namma Metro to Tumakuru, despite ongoing discussions about its feasibility. The city-based Aarvee Engineering Consultants have been selected for the project at a total cost of over Rs 1.2 crore.

The tender was issued last month, with a deadline of Nov 20 for interested parties to submit their bids. In addition to the chosen firm, two other parties expressed interest in the project. BMRCL expects the report to be completed and submitted within five months.
