Bengaluru: Jet with 6 US flyers lands at KIA after Karachi stopover

BENGALURU: In what is said to be a case of ‘rare landing’, a private jet that took off from the US touched down at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Thursday morning after a short stop at Karachi, Pakistan.
Sources at KIA said the 14-seater jet carried a family of six from the US with valid Indian visas. The jet flew via Karachi and landed in Bengaluru. Usually, jets from the US take the Gulf route, but the reason for the plane to touch down in Pakistan en route Bengaluru is unknown.
The sources said the Dassault Falcon 900 EX aircraft registered in Germany, landed at KIA at 10.30am on runway 27R after it took off from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and completed seven hours and 19 minutes of flight time. Assigned gate number A38 at Bengaluru, there were six people on board the jet.
