Bengaluru: After RWA snub, EV owner hauls e-scooter to 5th floor kitchen for charging

BENGALURU: An electric scooter owner was forced to take his vehicle by elevator to his kitchen on the fifth floor of an apartment complex at Hulimavu on Bannerghatta Road for charging on Monday after the residents’ welfare association didn’t allow the installation of an EV charging point in the parking bay.

Vish Ganti, vice-president (product management & GM) of AutoGrid India, wrote about the incident on his LinkedIn account.

“My apartment community in the so-called EV capital of India (Bengaluru) wouldn’t let me install an EV charging point after trying to educate them and fighting an uphill battle for four months.
