Batwals rue proposed tariff hike

The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association has urged the government to reconsider the proposed hike in electricity tariff, keeping in view the economic conditions in J&K.

The association members held a meeting to discuss the effect of the proposed hike and said J&K was economically underdeveloped in comparison to other cities and states of India and it would put additional burden on poor people. — TNS
